Steph Meech

Paramedic, South East Coast Ambulance service, Trans Lead, National Ambulance LGBT+ Network, Diversity and Transgender equality Champion

Steph Meech works as a Paramedic for South East Coast Ambulance service. She is one of the first openly Trans Paramedics in the UK. Steph is a Specialist Paramedic in Urgent and Emergency Care, an Operational Team leader and Eastbourne CFR trainer. Steph is the Trans Lead for the National Ambulance LGBT+ Network, Diversity and Transgender equality Champion. She works tirelessly to increase Trans awareness in health care. Steph also sits on the Diversity Steering Group for the College of Paramedics and is an advisor for Trans in the City. Steph is passionate in championing trans awareness and has spoken about this topic to numerous organisations and NHS trusts around the UK. Steph will be talking about inclusive leadership, what this looks like and challenging everyone to be more inclusive in their practice.
