Dr Nat Thorne was an LGBT+ Journalist for 16 years before leaving their career to study a PhD looking at language in relation to the mental health of non-binary people. Nat now works at the Nottingham Centre for Transgender Health in a non-clinical, academic role. Nat is also the chair of the transgender peer support charity Notts Trans Hub and uses the pronouns They/Them.
