Dr Emily Audet is a palliative care registrar based in the West Midlands and co-founder of the Aspiring Leaders in Healthcare Network. She previously completed a 12-month secondment working with the Care Quality Commission as Clinical Fellow to the Chief Inspector of Hospitals during her role as a National Medical Director's Clinical Fellow. She graduated from the University of Birmingham Medical School in 2017 having previously achieved a 1st Class Honours BSc in Medical Microbiology and Immunology at Newcastle University in 2012. Since co-founding an Interprofessional Education Society at the University of Birmingham, Emily has continued to develop her understanding and experience of the process of influencing, enacting, and embedding change within clinical practice. Emily is passionate about enhancing patient safety and quality of care through empowering frontline healthcare staff with skills to drive change, improving healthcare team-dynamics, and the use of storytelling and experience sharing to influence change.
