Chelcie Jewitt

Co-founder, Emergency Medicine and Intensive Care Medicine Dual Trainee, Surviving in Scrubs, Health Education North West (Mersey)
Chelcie is an Emergency Medicine and Intensive Care Dual Trainee, interested in health inequalities, particularly those faced by women. Throughout her training she has been a victim of, and witness to, multiple incidences of sexism and misogyny. This prompted her to found the Sexism in Medicine Report, which was published by the BMA in August 2021. Following this, she has collaborated with her co-founder Dr Becky Cox to launch Surviving in Scrubs - a campaign organisation which focuses on giving the victims of sexual misconduct within the healthcare workplace a voice, bringing about positive change through the power of their testimonies.
