Speakers

Bertrand is a fourth-year medical student at the University of Global Health Equity with aspirations of becoming an Internal Medicine–Paediatrics (IM/Peds) physician, researcher, and global health advocate. During his time at UGHE, he has been actively involved in various global health and One Health initiatives. He served as President of the Student One Health Innovation Club (SOHIC), School Co-Lead for the Planetary Health Report Card (PHRC), and currently holds the position of PHRC Rwanda Regional Lead.

Bertrand has led and contributed to projects focused on raising community awareness about the One Health approach, promoting youth engagement in the One Health movement, and advancing environmental health. His current efforts are centred on expanding One Health awareness and integrating Planetary Health principles across universities in Rwanda.
