Adam is a Foundation Doctor at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire. Prior to starting his medical training, Adam served for 17 years as a Helicopter Warfare Officer in the Royal Navy. He qualified on the Sea King Mk7 helicopter and his appointments included deploying on operations as a Mission Commander, teaching student aircrew as a qualified aircrew instructor, and serving in UK, NATO and EU headquarters as a maritime aviation specialist. In July 2023, he graduated from Warwick Medical School. Adam has an interest in leadership, team performance, and workplace culture and is keen to use his experience and transferable skills from military aviation in his new career. He is an advocate of the implementation of a Just Culture within healthcare and has conducted research and written on this subject.
